Originally from Sacramento, California, Kevin now calls Los Angeles home after nearly 6 years on the east coast. In his early years, Kevin was a musician instead of an actor, picking up piano at the age of 7 and adding trumpet and guitar to his repertoire over the years as he was influenced by California ska bands such as Sublime and Reel Big Fish. He was also an Eagle Scout and an athlete, competing in soccer and alpine skiing, topped off by a season as a rugby player. Upon graduating high school, Kevin enrolled at the University of Oregon, majoring in Pre-Med and Psychology. A relative newcomer to acting, he took his first acting class on a dare at the age of 18. But he immediately fell in love upon realizing that playing with swords was way more fun than organic chemistry; he changed majors and never looked back. He earned his BA in Theatre Arts and went on to earn an MFA in Acting from the University of Connecticut under Dale AJ Rose and Vincent Cardinal. During his time in Connecticut, Kevin appeared in 10 productions at Connecticut Rep, his favorites being Othello, Pride and Prejudice, and Urinetown: The Musical; working with acclaimed directors such as Gabriel Barre, Paul Mullins and Art Manke. He also worked with Bated Breath Theatre Company, helping to develop and appearing in the world-premiere of The Parkville Project, a new play by critically acclaimed and award-winning playwright Michael Bradford. Kevin’s acting pursuits have taken him across the country and around the world--he has worked and performed in Oregon, Los Angeles, Connecticut, Michigan, London, Paris and the Caribbean. In France, Kevin, a fluent francophone, worked under theatre artists Pascal Laurent and Sarah Harper, founders of Friches Theatre Urbain and former teachers at the L’ecole International de Jacques LeCoq. There he studied trapeze, acrobatics, stilt-walking and physical theatre, before collaborating on and performing in their new production En Attendant la Loco: L’esprit des Rails. Since coming back to the States, he has found himself on gigs as far flung as Michigan and the US Virgin Islands, as well as landing roles on television shows such as NBC's Deception, CBS's Blue Bloods and NCIS: Los Angeles. The past year Kevin was blessed to work with Sledgehammer Games and Activision on Call of Duty: WWII, appearing as Pvt. Stiles. He also teamed up with Leisure Elk Productions on the parody webseries Kyloki, as Star Wars' General Hux. Check it out on YouTube! Most recently, Kevin was in the LA Times Critic's Choice, World-Premiere Production of "I Go Somewhere Else" by Inda Craig-Galvan at Atwater Village Theater. It was a wildly successful show, and after popular demand we remounted for a three week run this year! Kevin has also joined up with Guy Kochlani and the team at Shushu Entertainment this year! He's excited to take the world on together! |
